How it counts

It counts, so you don't have to.

Counting in your head is how you lose count. One catch, one stray thought, and you are guessing. The camera keeps the number for you, on your phone with nothing tracked. You just jump.

  • JumpsThe camera watches you, not the rope. Each takeoff and landing is one jump.
  • TimeStarts when the countdown ends, stops when you tap End.
  • CatchesTrip on the rope and it notes a catch. The count keeps going.
The app's live view: a count of 86 jumps in green over the camera picture of a person jumping rope in a park, a timer reading 3:04, and a pill showing 0 catches

Jump in. Jump out. Done.

  1. Prop it up.

Lean it against anything at chest height and step back.

  2. Wave to start.

Raise a hand and hold it there, or tap Start. A short countdown, then it counts.

  3. Jump.

Your music keeps playing. The count runs over the camera view.

  4. Tap End.

Jumps, time, catches. Put the phone down.

The end screen card from the app: Nice work, 214 jumps, 6:12 duration, 2 catches, and a Jump again button

Built to be closed, not opened.

A lot of fitness apps want you to stay longer: games, stats, streaks, a feed. Your attention is what they are after.

JustJump Rope is built for the opposite. Open it, jump, tap End, and go live your day. It does one job, then leaves you alone: no streaks to keep alive, no feed, no ads.

Privacy

Your video never leaves your phone.

Each camera frame is read on the device to find your jump, then discarded. Nothing is recorded, saved, or uploaded. No analytics, no ads, no tracking.

The short version.

Do I need a special rope or a wearable?

No. Any rope works, and there is nothing to wear or pair.

The camera watches you, not the rope. Each takeoff and landing is one jump. Trip on the rope and it notes a catch; your count keeps going.

Does it work offline?

Counting runs entirely on your device. The app only talks to Apple, for sign-in and for your subscription.

Do I need an account?

There is no account to create. Sign in with Apple or continue on the device; either way, your identity stays on your phone.

Is my video ever stored or uploaded?

Never. Frames are read on your phone and discarded. Nothing is recorded, and there is no server of ours to send it to.
